Rock The Hip Hop takes part in affiliate programs. This page explains exactly what that means, because you deserve to know how a site you read makes its money.

Programs we participate in
Rock The Hip Hop is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
We also participate in affiliate programs with music retailers including Guitar Center, and may add other music gear, distribution and ticketing partners over time. This page is updated when that happens.
How we decide what to recommend
A few commitments, plainly stated:
- Commission rate never decides a recommendation. If a product with no affiliate program is the right answer, we say so.
- We do not accept payment for positive coverage. No brand can buy a recommendation, a ranking position, or a review score here.
- We tell you when we have not tested something. Where a page offers general buying guidance rather than hands-on testing, it says so. We would rather explain how to choose than pretend to an authority we have not earned.
- Affiliate links are marked. Pages carrying them show a disclosure at the top, before the content, not buried in a footer.
Advertising
