50 Cent Movies

Looking back at 50 Cent’s career makes me nostalgic for a time when west coast hip hop dominated the airwaves and the funk was still well and alive in the music. After 50 Cent’s rise to fame, 50 Cent transitioned into the movie business. From “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” to “Den of Thieves”, 50 Cent has had an interesting movie career. Let’s take a deep dive into Curtis Jackson’s movie career.

Get Rich or Die Tryin’ Movie

50 Cent’s breakout album was titled “Get Rich or Die Tryin'”, so it was only natural that his first big breakout role would be the same title as his first big breakout album. The story of “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” is a story about growing up in poverty and what happens when you get caught up in the inner-city lifestyle. In “Get Rich or Die Tryin'”, 50 cent’s character is named Marcus.

Marcus has a tumultuous life where he sees his mother dealing drugs which then leads to her murder. Throughout his youth, Marcus is confronted with violence and drug dealing but also manages to write rap songs on the side. After a short stint in prison, Marcus is about to emerge as the new rapper on the block, but that doesn’t come without issues.

Overall, this movie isn’t as compelling as “8 Mile” or something similar in the genre, but it is an entertaining drama that has its own charm.

Freelancers

Freelancers” has a star-studded cast but still manages to underwhelm. It isn’t a bad movie, but it isn’t great. Robert DeNiro, Forest Whitaker, and 50 Cent star in this roller coaster of a blockbuster.

50 Cent wants to solve his father’s murder in this fast-paced thriller. Once again 50 Cent’s acting isn’t bad, but it isn’t great. This is a story of loyalty and corruption. This is a story of crooked cops and choppy storylines, but overall, it’s not terrible.

Den of Thieves

Once again 50 cent emerges in another cop drama. This time there is a robbery in the Federal Reserve Bank of downtown Los Angeles. Another fast-paced movie where 50 Cent manages to chug along and find his place. Still not a bonafide star, 50 Cent tries his best in this run-of-the-mill movie.

 Streets of Blood

50 Cent has become the modern-day Bruce Willis with his string of action movies that are all similar in plot and flow. Another crime drama starring 50 Cent, “Streets of Blood” is a bloody mess. This time this movie takes place during Hurricane Katrina and it is about a police officer being murdered. After the murder, everything takes a turn for the worse and dives deep into the criminal underworld.

Gun

“Gun” is another movie starring the great Curtis Jackson also known as 50 Cent. This is a film about gun smuggling and how the FBI declares war on gun smugglers. For some reason, I love 50 Cent’s movies. They aren’t the best movies but they are entertaining. Honestly, 50 Cent is like the modern-day Steven Segal. No matter how corny his movies are they are still entertaining.

Is 50 Cent a good actor

Is 50 Cent a good actor? Does 50 Cent make good movies? All of these are questions that deserve answers and I would say the answer depends on you. Do you like cheesy movies with faulty storylines?

Do you like bad acting masquerading as good acting? 50 Cent is entertaining and charming in his own way. His movies are funny and decent action movies. Go shorty, it’s your birthday. We are going to party like it’s your birthday….
