Who is Ksenia

Ksenia is one of the most beautiful women you will ever see and her music is a vibe. The best part of Ksenia is that she’s unique. From “Girl in the Forest” to “Are you my Kitty?”, Ksenia explores different genres but inserts a bit of humor into her music. The best part of Ksenia is her Russian influence mixed with American music. “I’m the girl from the forest and where I’m from we have a lot of dudes named Boris” is just the beginning of Ksenia’s avant-garde music and a wild personality. Her music is fun, silly, exciting, funky, and new. The best part of Ksenia is that she is original and truly a force to be reckoned with.

Are you my Kitty?

Mixing hip hop and Russian melodies is something that I never thought I’d really enjoy, but I guess I do. Thanks, Ksenia. I wish I was Ksenia’s kitty, but most men wouldn’t be able to make the cut… not even her cousin. (See Girl in the forest to get the reference) We had to reach out to Ksenia for an interview and luckily she granted us one.

What city are you from?

I am from a small town called Nakhodka, Far East of Russia.

How has your city influenced your sound?

I like to incorporate Russian melodies and balalaika samples in my music.

Tell us about your best performance.

I really enjoyed performing at the IHEART Live sessions in NYC. It was a perfect stage, audience and sound.

Talk about your latest project.

My latest single “Are You My Kitty?”, continues my exploration of rap and comedy. “Are You My Kitty?” is really an ultimatum – translation: “We’ve been dating for a while, it’s been a year, I need to know…where do we stand?” (“oh, and by the way, are you still married?”) In today’s hookup culture with fuckboys all around, sometimes you just have to cut to the chase and ask, “Are you my kitty?“
