M SIX Interview

SUPER SAIYAN SIX

Trap at its finest is how many would describe M SIX’s newest offering called “SUPER SAIYAN SIX”. He is about to Go Goku and he has models in his DMs. Everything about M SIX is swag and style.

The bass compliments the trap keyboard and has an icy feel. The song is very dark but also fun. M SIX is a good rapper and “SUPER SAIYAN SIX” shows off his vocal abilities.

BLAME ME

With Travis Scott’s career on the decline, we need new stars like M SIX to rise to the top and he manages to channel some of Scott’s style with “Blame Me”. Even though it travels Travis Scott, the song is very much unique and original to M SIX. M SIX is an innovator. He is taking what is popular, but adding a new twist to it.

The music switches up in parts that you wouldn’t normally expect and the flows are crazy. M SIX is very talented and we had to reach out to M SIX for an interview. Luckily, M SIX said yes, so here is our interview with M SIX.

M SIX Interview with Rock the Hip Hop

What first got you into music?

My church had a Drum Corps and growing up I always wanted to play the drums. Since I was like 5 years old. I would learn the beats by ear and be able to play it the very next day with no help. Shoutout Madison Mission!

Who inspired you to make music?

My older brother Erik really. We used to freestyle back when we lived in Virginia and it was fun. He was releasing music way before me.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

Creatively refreshing and honest. I never get stuck on one sound, ever. Also VERY lyrical, even my “simplest” songs have tons and tons of triple entendres that’ll probably never be fully dissected by the common listener.

What is your creative process like?

It depends. I normally hear a beat and know instantly if I’m gonna make a song to it. For SAINT SIX, I wanted to put all of my energy into making sure I went outside of my comfort zone and still made great music. My bro Tone aka GLO BOI has been my producer for about 5 years now, and he produced the whole thing. I needed to pay homage to him because he’s been the most consistent producer I know. Once I had a vibe in my mind for the Mixtape, I just let everything come together. I also had very strict deadlines with SAINT SIX, so there were a lot of sleepless nights, and maybe a little bit of psilocybin involved. 😉

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

Drake. No question. He’s my idol.

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

Right now, probably Young Thug, because I’m trying to build up my Atlanta fanbase.

What is one message you would give to your fans?

You’re currently witnessing the next GOAT in action if I’m being real. And I Love You All.

What is the most useless talent you have?

None. I use all of them.

Do you sing in the shower? What songs?

Yes, Diana Ross – Tenderness

Call out my name – The Weeknd

Saving all my love for you – Whitney Houston.

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

Hooping. Honestly, the only reason I’m not hooping right now is that I got expelled in 11th grade then fell out of love with the game for a while.

Where have you performed? What are your favorite and least favorite venues? Do you have any upcoming shows?

I’ve performed at Madison Mission, Sparkman High, Camp Meeting, a 4001 event, and some other places I can’t remember right now. I don’t know if I have a favorite or least favorite right now, simply because I’ve never performed outside of Alabama. And yes, I have shows coming this Spring.

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

The internet IS the music business. It changed everything for sure, it’s impacted it simply by making music way more accessible, and numbers way more controlled.

What is your favorite song to perform?

Right now Pilgrim at The Hilton. I perform it to myself in my room quite often, it’s lit!

Which famous musicians do you admire?

Drake, Kanye, Future, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Jaden Smith, Russ, Young Thug, The Weeknd

What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

Hahaha probably this one time I got arrested for “tampering with evidence”
