Welcome to Dixie EP Review and Interview

How

The instrumental in “How” is haunting and sinister. With deadly precision and accuracy, D.Thre3 is spilling his heart and soul and not taking any prisoners. The trap beat is slow and the melody is evil. D.Thre3 doesn’t need auto-tune or help because his flows are clean and on the beat. Hey, modern rappers, take notes when you listen to D.Thre3 because this is what modern rap should sound like. Fast flows, clever punchlines, and clean vocals make D.Thre3 stand out among his peers. Don’t ever forget he had to dance with the devil to get to where he’s at…

When the Rain Come

There is something special about a minor beat that almost make me want to label this as modern day blues because there is so much pain within the lyrics of D.Thre3. Some of the verses are heartbreaking but they help to explain his mentality and where he is coming from. Living in Miami, the rain will always come and “When the Rain Come” you better be listening to D.Thre3!

Free tha Real

“Slowly Dying….” Another sad song that really solidifies D.Thre3 as a true tortured soul that knows how to make sad music that is still beautiful and leaves you feeling profound.

Welcome to Dixie EP Review

Honestly, “Welcome to Dixie EP” is one of the best EP’s I have heard in a new minute and is a breath of fresh air in a rap scene that is so oversaturated with people who sound the same. D.Thre3 is keeping it real and not trying to be like anybody else. D.Thre3 is D.Thre3 and we reached out to this very talented young man for an interview.

Rock the Hip Hop Interview with D.Thre3

What first got you into music?

I’ve always been a fan of music since I was a child but when I got older just like most people you start getting high smoking and think of rhymes but my friend and fellow artist 2L Capo made me get in the actual studio because he was the first to go record.

Who inspired you to make music?

I would say I got most of my music influence from watching my close friends make music made me want to pursue it myself.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

I would say it’s a mix of trap/pain with a little bit of the struggle too

What is your creative process like?

I just typically like to lock on a beat first and then start creating flows in my head then just let my mind take over

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

It’s hard to pick tbh but I gotta say Meek Mill or Lil Durk they are two of my favorite artist and I’d love to see how my pen compares

If you could go open a show for any artist who would it be?

I’m going to have to say Lil Baby I just know his shows and fans are crazy !!

What is one message you would give to your fans?

I’m sorry for being so inconsistent but I’m locked and ready to take my music serious stay tuned !!!!

What is the most useless talent you have?

Probably basketball I went from playing overseas in Mexico to not even touching a ball

Do you sing in the shower?

Of course…

What songs?

Anything that plays on shuffle or it may depend what kind of mood I’m in.

What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

I’d Prolly be on the road driving 18 wheelers I earned my CDL around the time I started my music career

Where have you performed?

I performed at the Dallas Rising New Artist Showcase that was sponsored by MusicBreakr in April of this year

What are your favorite and least favorite venues?

I really don’t have a favorite because I haven’t done many shows but I know I would the small packed out venue vibes better

Do you have any upcoming shows?

None at the moment I’m currently working on marketing my new EP “Welcome To Dixie”

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

Internet was probably the best thing to happen to the music business. It’s a lot easier to find talent or even go viral nowadays so in this new world of trends the internet has become the biggest marketing tool in the industry

What is your favorite song to perform?

“How” by far but hearing the bass and the drops in the beat gives it the perfect club vibe

Which famous musicians do you admire?

Lil Durk, Meek Mill, Lil Baby and Starlito

What is the most trouble you’ve ever gotten into?

Probably when I got arrested & charged with Possession of a Dangerous Drug they gave us a hard time because we were on well know drug trafficking highway and what makes it worse I was on the way back home for my college Christmas Break.
