Interview with FRENSH
Lose My Mind
“Lose My Mind” has a spacey free floating vibe, which is actually quite soothing and relaxing. Then, the drums pick up and the style changes to a more upbeat electronic tune. FRENSH is blending many different genres with hip hop and it is quite interesting. We reached out to FRENSH for an interview and luckily, he said yes.
Rock the Hip Hop Interview with FRENSH
How has the city you live in influenced your sound?
I am born and raised up in Salzburg. The music community there is really conservative and not that open for new stuff, so I always wanted to create an unique and outstanding sound, that describes me as an artist.
Share some performance stories with us.
There exist some funny ones, from people who run behind the Turntables to take their drugs next to me, to gigs where the complete sound system died during my set in the club.
Who would you like to collaborate with?
That’s an interesting question, for me it’s not important how big an artist is. It’s much more important that the artist, I collab with is an inspiration for me, it is important that we can share our skills and learn from each other. There are so many artists out there, who have 1000 times more skills than artist, that are in the charts.
What do you think is the best way to promote your brand?
For me, It’s important to draw a line between your complete artist project, your music must be unique, and every track should be assignable to you. Your socials should have an unique style, good and professional pictures, good color correction. And of course, playlist pitchments, networking, PR agency’s and so on. The times are over, where artist became a breakthrough from nowhere, it’s all controlled by marketing.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself still with an outstanding sound that describes me, and hopefully with a big and strong fanbase.
