Who is Solo Drew?

Solo Drew is a crispy fresh rapper who knows how to go fast, slow it down, and keep it on the beat. Baby has a nice choppy flow with some baby background vocals with an island feel. Smoking and chilling, Solo Drew is rap’s next superstar. The flow is perfect and the music is hot. We had to reach out to Solo Drew for an interview.

How would you describe the music that you typically create?

The music I make I would consider personal. I’m speaking from personal experiences, my people’s experiences, things that happen which people are scared to speak about. When people listen to my music I want them to feel every word I say.

What are your suggestions for those just getting started in music?

For those who are just getting started, don’t be scared to be yourself when you get in that booth. People try to pretend to be something they’re not, whether that’s acting tough or trying to be on the wave everybody else is on. I feel that people respect you and gravitate to your music more when you’re just yourself. Stay in your own lane and trust that someone is going to hear you.

What would be your dream collaboration?

My dream collaboration would be with Chris Brown. I’ve looked up to that man almost all my life. Just how diverse he is, the talent he showcases, and overcoming obstacles no matter what they may be. Bro just different for real!

Who inspired you to get into music?

I would say my father honestly. He is the one who introduced me to what music is. One of my closest friends actually forced me to get in the stu the first time I recorded a single. He was like “we out to the Stu later” one day when we were at work. Bro kept say “we out bro, we out” so I just went. Ever since then, y’all see what’s goin on.

What are your goals as an artist?

My goals as artists are first and foremost to see people actually singing my songs and knowing them word for word. Off that alone, that’s just a blessing. But I wanna do a few collaborations with big artists and producers, sell out arenas and stadiums, have numerous songs make Billboard hot 100, and actually be on billboards as well. Then you know, I’m trying to win a grammy, win a BET award, just like any artists would like to. I just want to be the best artist that I’m capable of being.

What can you tell us about the next project you’re working on?

The next project I’m working on is my new single that about to drop called “Steppa”. The single, the video just everything about this piece of work is just amazing. The world gonna see that I’m just coming different on 09/17/2021.
