Migos Break Up
RIP Takeoff
Rapper Takeoff from Migos was recently murdered in Houston on November 1, 2022.
Apparently, Takeoff was playing dice when an argument broke out between Quavo and others. Shots were fired and Takeoff was pronounced dead on the scene.
Migos Members
The Migos consists of fellow family members Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff. Initially, the group performed under the moniker ‘Polo Club’, but eventually shifted to ‘Migos’. ‘Juug Season’ was released on August 25, 2011, which was their first full-length project.
2013 was a big year for Migos when they rose to prominence with their first hit single, Versace. Drake remixed ‘Versace’ and took it to another level.
Finally, Migos reached the top of the charts with their debut studio album, Yung Rich Nation. Their newest album had appearances from Young Thug, Chris Brown, Zaytoven, and Murda Beatz.
Bad and Boujee
Finally, after years of hard work, Migos had their first number-one single with ‘Bad and Boujee’ which featured Lil Uzi Vert.
The song has been certified platinum and Takeoff was not featured nor credited on their biggest hit.
This is where the rift between the Migos started to form.
Culture III
The ‘Culture III’ is the final Migos offering with all 3 members. Takeoff had already released a solo project entitled ‘The Last Rocket’ which was well received.
This album had some notable features since Drake, Justin Bieber, and Juice Wrld were featured on this album.
Migos Break Up Over Saweetie
Apparently, bros before hoes wasn’t a moniker that Migos lived by. Women should never get in the way of a business or friendship, but sadly, women always get in the way of friendships or business partnerships.
Quavo once dated Saweetie and allegedly, Offset slept with her.
Quavo and Takeoff decided to band together and work together.
Offset decided to do his own solo project and work on his relationship with Cardi B.
Only Built for Infinity Links
25 days before Takeoff’s death, Only Built for Infinity Links was released. There were some pretty epic tracks on this album including the song ‘Messy’.
Takeoff Murdered in Houston
Takeoff was murdered in Houston and the hip-hop world is mourning this significant loss.
Migos was a legendary southern rap group that pioneered a style of hip-hop that was fun and extravagant.
All the details are still coming in and we aren’t sure about the motive, but Takeoff might have actually been murdered due to friendly fire.
What’s Next for Migos
Both Offset and Quavo have been extremely quiet since the death of Takeoff.
They are probably both taking time to process the death of their brother and fellow member.
Hopefully, Offset and Quavo can put their differences aside and bring back Migos.
Both musicians are incredibly talented and they make a great team.
Offset is doing great things on his own, but they are family and hopefully, Takeoff’s murder can help them to heal their wounds.
Life is short, and we all must be grateful for the short time that we have on earth.
