Amidst a climate where many contend that R&B has strayed from its roots, Queen Roc has taken it upon herself to breathe new life into the genre.
Originating from the quaint town of 3rd North in Delaware, this gifted singer-songwriter evokes shades of Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey, while forging her own unique path within the R&B, soul, and hip-hop industry.
Her fusion of innovation and nostalgia has struck a chord with fans and critics alike, exemplified in her previous single “Wanted,” which showcased her mesmerizing and haunting vocals.
Through her music, Queen Roc has established a connection with listeners who appreciate the storytelling aspect of R&B. Her forthcoming album, “Pep Talk,” comprises eight tracks that are poised to deliver a deeply personal and touching musical journey. Among the songs included are “Time,” “Okay,” “Kanye,” “Dreamville Student,” “Dropping Out,” “Money Wanted,” and the titular “Pep Talk.” The anticipation surrounding the album release is palpable.

What city are you from?
Born in DE (3rd North), currently reside in Brooklyn, NY
How has your city influenced your sound?
Both cities have influenced my sound with how street and raw they have both made me. The air that I breathe is New York and what raised me were the same streets that I relate to on all levels, including love.
Tell us about your best performance.
I haven’t had the best performance yet I’m my opinion. My best is yet to come.
Talk about your latest project.
This latest project shared who I am on a personal level letting listeners understand what it’s like to view life and love from my point of view, understanding that we are all learning to live and living to learn at the same time. Every lesson that I’ve learned in life, I’ve been able to sing about and turn it into something good and relatable to others even if I had to shed some tears behind it.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
In 5 years, I see myself on tour and if I can dream a little, that tour would be alongside artist J. Cole who inspires my approach to music.
