Auto tune is most rappers worst enemy. Many rappers think they need auto tune because their voices aren’t perfectly in tune. In my opinion, the auto tune makes it worse. “Slidin” wouldn’t be as bad of a song if it didn’t have so much auto tune. It just doesn’t sound good. Also, the instrumental in this track relies too heavily on 808 drums. The formula for this song has been done over and over and over again. It is boring. This song is boring.

Danny Wolf looks like Elliot Page or Ellen DeGeneres. The beats he makes are okay. They all sound pretty similar. Sometimes, they go pretty hard, but the drumming is usually the same style for every track. Danny Wolf is the trap equivalent of someone who writes reggateton beats. Why try anything new when what you are doing works? Danny Wolf is successful making his beats, so why try to be more innovative. Modern hip hop isn’t about innovation it is about fitting in.
