Tekashi 69

Daniel Hernandez was born on May 8, 1996. Daniel Hernandez more commonly known as Tekashi 69 or Tekashi 6ix9ine has an aggressive music style. From viral videos with anime backgrounds to his vulgar and extensive face tattoos to hard-hitting rap songs, Tekashi 6ix9ine has plagued the airwaves and become an infamous figure in the rap world.

One of the most colorful, annoying, toxic, and viral rappers is Tekashi 6ix9ine. Also, don’t snitch on your homies. Tekashi 6ix9ine joined a gang for street credibility which helped him launch his career and also helped to destroy his career.

9 Trey Bloods

Gummo really put Tekashi 6ix9ine on the map with its ferocious hooks and his deep voice. It also helped that he was affiliated with the 9 Trey Bloods. The Nine Trey Bloods helped to give Tekashi 6ix9ine the credibility that he needed to help break through to the mainstream. The problem is that when you become involved in illegal activity it will come back to haunt you.

Why was Tekashi 69 arrested

Tekashi 6ix9ine was charged with several drug-trafficking and violent crime-related offenses including attempted murder and armed robbery. Tekashi 69 was charged with racketeering, carrying a firearm, assault with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy murder charges. Tekashi 69 was able to get off because he essentially ratted out members of the 9 Trey Bloods.

Tekashi 6ix9ine testifies against 9 Trey Bloods

“What did you get from Nine Trey?” Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Longyear asked.

“I would say my career. Credibility. My videos, music, their protection,” Tekashi, 23, replied.

During the trial, Tekashi explained the meaning of the lyrics of the song “Gummo” to the jury. “Blicky is another word for a gun. ‘Billy’ is Nine Trey. ‘Hoover’ is its own set (of the gang),” he said.

“I thought it was cool at the time.”

“GUMMO” was Tekashi 69’s launching pad into fame and the rap world. “The gang image. Promote it. That’s what people like. It was a formula, a blueprint, I found that worked,” Tekashi said.

Tekashi 69 Snitched

Snitches get stitches and lose their rap career. Because of the nature of Tekashi 69’s trial and the reception, it essentially ruined his rap career. Also, Tekashi 6ix9ine has to maintain a low profile because there are hits out on his life. The reception to his testimony and him taking a plea made many fellow rappers speak out against him in interviews and songs. Some notable rappers that have spoken out against Tekashi 69 are Snoop Dogg and Lil Durk. Lil Durk’s career is on the rise while Tekashi 69 can’t even get booked for a festival.

GUMMO Lyrics

N***** iffy, uh, blicky got the stiffy, uh

Blow a case a n**** throwing shots, I run ’em off they block
Quarter milli in the stash box, I grinded for my spot

I don’t f*** with no old hoes, only new hoes
Hold my d*** in her backbone, I pass her to my bro
I don’t love her that’s a sad hoe, she a bad hoe
I’ma f*** her then I dash home, to the cash hoe
I’m on some rob a n**** s***, take a n**** b****
Do the dash in the whip, count the cash in the whip
I pull up with a stick, I let that s*** hit
Shout out, but I f***** that n**** b****
n**** iffy, uh, blicky got the stiffy, uh
Got blicky, uh, drum it holds fifty, uh
Move milli’, all my n**** on fifty, uh
Talk down, pew pew pew, you silly, uh
Hit a stain, fifty bands, all hunnids
Spinning through ya block like a pop shove-it
Shoot at me I’m shooting back, I’m getting buckets

Do the dash in the whip, count the cash in the whip
