Interview with BankrollSHELL

Recently, Rock The Hip Hop interviewed BankrollSHELL about what is going on with his career currently. Things are looking really good for BankrollSHELL. “Better Off” is a prime example of why BankrollSHELL is a force to be reckoned with. Interestingly, BankrollSHELL was born in Sasebo, Japan, but grew up in Jacksonville, Florida.

Tell me about your newest single and what inspired you to make it?

I made my most recent single because of all the emotions I was feeling at the time. I just felt like I was “Better Off” without a lot of things in my life.

Where are you from and a little bit of your background?

I was born in Sasebo, Japan but raised in Jacksonville, Florida.

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

We’ve been working so hard I feel like 5 years from now I shouldn’t even be rapping. I want to be more than just a rapper. I want to be an entrepreneur. I would like to start and invest in my own business.

Who inspired you as an artist?

You’d probably think it was someone that I listen to or someone famous but it’s not. Even though I got a little inspiration from my mom, I inspired myself into doing music. It’s been times I was told I couldn’t do it, that I wasn’t good enough and I wouldn’t make it far. I brushed it off and took it as constructive criticism and inspired myself.
