Xilax, Swayze, $lapstick come correct and make big moves on “Da Funeral part 2”. “It’s a constant battle, all the men are rattled” is one of the stand-out lines that really emphasizes the message of this track. Don’t go against the best and Xilax is taking hip hop to another level. Different flows over a funky beat make this track memorable.

The bassline is infectious and pops up in all the right places. There are so many punchlines in this track and they don’t stop. The keyboard riff reminds me of something you would see on a cartoon, but that’s what makes it so interesting. This track is very unique and all the rappers add something different to the final mix. It is obvious that everyone on this track is very passionate about their craft and they are taking hip hop to a new dimension.

They are killing zombies and making the blood reign. This song is the perfect Halloween tune because of the message. The album cover is awesome and these rappers are on the way up. “It’s da funeral” for any rapper who wants to try and challenge Xilax and his crew.

Xilax Interview with Rock the Hip Hop

Where are you from?

I was born in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Canada. I grew up in a small town near Montreal.

How has your city influenced your sound?

When I was young I was taught that real hip-hop was everything west coast 2pac, dr dre, dogg pound, snoop dogg, nwa
then when I was in high school I met a young group of people listening they introduced me to wu-tang. Since then I’ve been a true hip hop lover.

What instruments do you play?

Fun facts I don’t know anything about instruments, I do everything by hearing! I’m using mostly analog instruments & a few samples to make my beats for hard tasks then I hire a professional!!

What’s your best performance?

Damn, that’s tuff!!!! id say D.r.u.g. Dopest rapper under god! cuz you know who the rap god is!

What is your worst performance?

A song I made called ”lowkey” only released on youtube. The beat was not really my type of beat and the story didn’t match up with the hook.

Tell us about your newest single.

In the apocalypse world young survivor is killing zombies and enjoying life as it is
the story begins in ”da funeral” than 2 “zombie land at raccoon city”
than ”da funeral part 2”. The beat was custom-made exclusively for me by vteen beats!!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I will have my own label and studio with a contract similar to 21 savages!!!

Does your family support your musical journey?

That’s a funny support circle is really small, I got my cousins and my mom!
Besides them, I got more support from total strangers from US/UK than every family/friend/college I could find around here.

Who do you want to collaborate with?

Anybody from the wu-tang clan, Eminem, Redman.

Any new projects you are working on that you want to share?

I’m working on my first trap/drill song no autotune!! As I already got some auto-tune songs I’m trying to keep my old school style and adapt it to the new trap new school!!
